Alki Rooms
Cookie policy
Cookies are one of those things almost nobody reads and almost everybody accepts without looking. Here we explain, in plain language, what we install, why and how you stay in control.
On this page
# 1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files downloaded to your device (computer, phone or tablet) when you visit a website. They let the site remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language or session state — and make your next visit more useful.
When we say "cookies" in this Policy we also mean similar technologies such as pixels, tags and browser local storage (localStorage) used for equivalent purposes.
# 2. Types of cookies we use
2.1 · By who manages them
- First-party — managed directly by us on our domain.
- Third-party — managed by external providers when you authorise their use.
2.2 · By duration
- Session — deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent — stored for a set period of time.
2.3 · By purpose
- Strictly necessary (technical) — essential for the Website to work. They do not require your consent (exemption under Art. 22.2 LSSI).
- Analytics — measure use of the Website to improve it.
- Advertising — let us show you relevant ads. They require your consent.

3.3 · Other technologies
- WhatsApp — WhatsApp links redirect you to Meta's domain; once you leave the Website, WhatsApp Business' policy applies.
- Embedded videos — if we embed videos in the future, we will do so in enhanced-privacy mode and ask for your prior consent.
# 4. International transfers
Some of the technologies above are managed by providers with headquarters or servers in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on Standard Contractual Clauses, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
# 5. How to manage your preferences
5.1 · From the cookie banner
The first time you visit the Website a banner lets you Accept all, Reject all or Configure cookies by category. Your choice is recorded and you can change it whenever you like from the Website's cookie settings button.
5.2 · From your browser
You can also manage or delete cookies from your browser settings:
# 6. What happens if you reject cookies
Strictly necessary cookies will keep working because they are essential for the Website to load. The rest will be disabled and, as a result:
- We won't be able to measure how the Website is used or improve it based on real data.
- You won't see personalised ads from us on other sites.
- Some optional features (such as embedded videos, when we enable them) may show a prompt to activate them individually.
Access to the Website's content is not conditional on accepting non-essential cookies.
# 7. Changes to the Cookie Policy
This Policy may be updated when we add, remove or modify the technologies used. Any substantial change will be notified through the cookie banner, which will ask for your consent again.
